Katherine MacDonnell, Marchioness of Antrim, 18th Baroness de Ros of Helmsley (née Manners; died 1649), better known by her first marriage as Katherine, Duchess of Buckingham, was an English aristocrat. The daughter and heiress of Francis Manners, 6th Earl of Rutland, she was known as the richest woman in Britain outside of the royal family. She married first George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham, the favourite, and possibly lover, of King James I of England; and secondly, she married the Irish peer Randal MacDonnell, 1st Marquess of Antrim.

Randall MacDonnell, 1st Marquess of Antrim (1609–1683) was a Roman Catholic landed magnate in Scotland and Ireland, son of the 1st Earl of Antrim. He was also chief of Clan MacDonnell of Antrim. He is best known for his involvement, mostly on the Royalist side, in the Wars of the Three Kingdoms.

Jorge Villiers (em inglês: George Villiers; Leicestershire, 28 de agosto de 1592 - 23 de agosto de 1628), primeiro Marquês de Buckingham e posteriormente Duque de Buckingham, na segunda criação (1623) deste título, foi um estadista inglês, cuja família era de origem normanda.
